If candidate digit 7 marked C is false, candidate digit 7 in the 3 groups in A is confined to the overlaps with the 3 rows in B. In that case, one candidate digit 7 is true in each group in A. Because two 7s cannot share the same row in B, one candidate digit 7 is also true in each row in B. In this case too, candidate digit 7 marked × in the 3 rows in B is false. In either case, candidate digit 7 marked × can be removed.
